Colors of Love is a Non-Profit 501(c)(3) Organization operating in the Haight-Ashbury Neighborhood of San Francisco. We empower formerly incarcerated women as they transition back into the community by fostering their creativity and self-expression through the art of tie-dye.

- In the last 40 years the number of incarcerated women has risen by over 525%, increasing twice as fast as the incarceration rate for men.
- Criminal records create societal barriers to successful reintegration including challenges in finding stable housing, employment, education and social stigma.
- These societal and social barriers can contribute to a reduced sense of self-worth and empowerment in their identities, increasing the likelihood of further involvement in the criminal justice system.
- In addition to fostering increased self esteem, creativity, recovery and entrepreneurship, Color of Love has had a 20% recidivism rate amongst participants since 2023 compared to the California three-year recidivism rate of 44.6%
